Luke James Murphy is a Dublin based guitarist and composer. With a musical that encompasses everything from Country and Blues, to contemporary Jazz, the sound of Luke’s original works reflects this diversity of taste.
Having recently recorded his first album as a bandleader, Luke will present these works as well as some choice standards from the Country, Blues and American songbook traditions.
Joining Luke are two of Ireland’s finest young Jazz musicians. Aidan Grey hails from Longford and has quickly made a name for himself on the national scene as one of the go to bassists for improvised music and also as a composer in his own right. Michael McCarthy was recently a finalist for The Young Irish Jazz Musician Award and is a rising star on the Irish Jazz scene.
