Formed in 2012, The Mariannes are a Dublin based urban folk band. The band’s music has strong Irish folk and blues/alt country roots with a rock edge. Songs with troubling lyrics, beautiful melodies and strong instrumentation form the backbone of the group’s appeal.
In 2014, the title track from the band’s EP ‘Lost with All Hands’ won the inaugural Clancy Brother’s songwriting award, it was singled out for honours by a judging panel including Niall Toner (Musician and RTE Radio Host). The launch of their EP marks what will surely be the beginning of a very bright phase in the career of this new and talented band.

An emerging band from the Northside of Dublin, offering up their modern indie rock spin on folk and traditional music. The band had a live performance on RTE’s “The Saturday Night Show”, a stint in the Irish iTunes charts and two tracks from their debut EP making the soundtrack for the International and DVD broadcast of “Love/Hate”.
