This seven-piece have musical credentials admired by many, holding a long list of individual awards including multiple World Bodhrán Championship winner, Conor Lyons, and recently-crowned TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2015, Maitiú Ó Casaide. The band has toured Europe and continue to increase festival appearances across Europe, Ireland and India.

Comprising of two sets of siblings, The Bonny Men combine the best of Irish music with carefully and tastefully arranged original songs to reveal a sound that is like no other on the scene today.

Featuring uilleann pipe, fiddle, flute, piano, guitar, bouzouki, bodhrán and vocals The Bonny Men create a powerful of sound. Audiences will observe a quaint guitar intro surging into a set of reels, followed by a delicately-arranged folk song. ‘Sometimes’ or ‘Kottayam’ will bring about a subtle smile or a nod, whereas the formidable ‘Famous Ballymote’ or ‘Cashmere’ mesmerises and demands undivided attention.

The Bonny Men’s 2011 self-titled debut record has received critical claim and the group’s second album, Moyne Road, has proved to be worth the wait since it’s February 2015 release. It’s unmistakably dynamic sound has prompted Irish Music Magazine to proclaim that “this is an album that will be a resounding success”.
