Sorcha Richardson is a 21-year-old musician from Dublin, whose atmospheric folk has been compared by both Nialler9 and Jim Carroll of the Irish Times to Bon Iver.  After moving to New York at 18 to study writing, Sorcha returned home her first summer and play her debut Dublin show upstairs at the Twisted Pepper.  Since then, she has been writing, recording and gigging steadily, both at home and in New York.

Since the beginning of 2012, Sorcha’s most popular song to date, “I Heart NYC” has received increasing radio play across the country.   The song, which has been widely remixed, will be released on vinyl later this year by Berlin label Trackord Records with remixes from Karl M, Tristan Fogel and Nils Hoffmann.

Sorcha is currently putting the finishing touches to her new EP, set for release at the end of June. She will return home for a few weeks this summer to play a single Dublin show, Upstairs at Whelan’s.
