Described by Hotpress magazine as ‘A star in the making’, SÍOMHA (pronounced Shee-va) has been captivating audiences worldwide with her infectious soulful energy and beautifully crafted songs. In 2014, the Co. Clare native left Ireland to explore the major music cities of America, a journey that exposed her to the vibrant and richly diverse musical culture of the Southern States. She embraced the music scene of each city, often guesting with local bands, an experience that evolved into one of self-discovery for her. Her road trip finally took her to Nashville, where she was invited to share the stage with the multi Grammy-winning country legend Vince Gill.
SÍOMHA returned to Ireland in late 2016 to release her single, ‘Why Did We Fall In Love?’. Recorded in Austin, Texas, the song echoes great torch singers from another era. It was included on the RTE Radio 1 Playlist for 8 weeks and was in the Top 10 Most Played Irish Tracks in 2016 on the station.
She will be playing a full band show Upstairs in Whelan’s on Friday June 2nd.
“SÍOMHA’s voice possesses delicate grace. Her cool clear crystal vocals evoke the cadence of super-special singers like Amy Winehouse, Brittany Howard and Ella Fitzgerald. Her stylish and Jazz infused songs perfectly match that voice.” – Gerry Quinn (Music Journalist)

SAM RYDER (UK)
My name is Sam Ryder. I’m a musician and film maker from London.
Last winter, inspired by music, surf & anti-contest art, I traveled from the UK to Hawaii via Nashville. My aim was to record an album by the time I reached the North Pacific.
I packed a guitar, a few microphones and a camera for the 3 month trip and counted on the kindness of strangers to connect the dots.
