Scott Maher NEW ALBUM “Butterfly” “I am releasing my 3rd studio album “Butterfly” on the July 24th 2015. This album is a very different sound as every song on the album is based around the nylon string guitar and the double bass with punctuated brass. The themes of the songs are also a departure for me as most of them are simple messages based around love. “Still Have Everything” is a song that explores the loss of money and feeling like the whole world is crumbling around you but really if you have the ones you love you still have everything……. as does the upbeat New Orleans style ballroom song “In This House” a light hearted look at keeping the wolf from the door. Songs like Machu Pichu (about stalking your girlfriend on Facebook while she travels the world) and Every Colour In My Sky really make use of the punchy brass lines. “First Dance” is a Wedding proposal that I have been wanting to write for about three years. If We Were Lovers really started the whole sound of a nylon string guitar and double bass. After recording that song I knew I wanted the whole album to sound like that. There are videos on youtube for some of these songs and I’m hoping to release as many songs as singles as I can afford to from the album. The album took just over 2 years to record which I know is too long but I think it was worth it ! ”. The launch will be a live gig in Whelans of Wexford St. in Dublin. (He has previously released two studio albums “Cartoon Moon” in 2005 (featuring the track “The Sun Came” which is still played by Irish radio stations on nice summer days in Ireland and received critical acclaim and ”21 Bends” in 2009 which took Scott across America where his songwriting journey really began. The lapse between releases was because he joined and became a writer in The Shoos who had success in Ireland and signed a deal with Universal Records in 2010. “A Truly Wonderful Singer- SIR GEORGE MARTIN- (Beatles Producer) “This song is a hit” BRENDAN GRAHAM ( writer of You “Raise Me Up”)
