RUBYWORKS IS TEN

Ten years of music from Ireland and Elsewhere – Special price on all back catalogue

Originally started as a home for mexican guitarists Rodrigo y Gabriela with the release of their debut album Re-foc in September 2002 Rubyworks has grown into the premiere independent label in Ireland with an extensive roster of international talent and a number of subsidiary labels.

In the ten years since the founding of the label Rubyworks has released albums by Hothouse Flowers, Nigel Mooney, The Devlins, Aslan, Jerry Fish, Sinead O Connor, May Coughlan, Moving Hearts, Leya, Wallis Bird, Gavin Friday, Ryan Sheridan, Foy Vance and Vladimir.
Global sales of Rodrigo y Gabriela albums have now passed the 1,000,000 mark and Rubyworks has grown with addition of subsidiaries Model Citizen – home to Fight Like Apes, The MInutes and Funeral Suits – , GottaRun – home to The Original Rudeboys and recently through a merger with UK independent label Ark Recordings.
2012 will see releases from new Rubyworks / Ark artists Alberta Cross, Deap Vally and Josephine.
