Róisín O is an Irish female singer/songwriter who has been making big waves with her impressive live show, coupling amazing vocals and well-crafted songwriting. Now 22 years of age, she has been writing songs since she was sixteen, and has recently been asked to support names such as The Coronas, Imelda May, Mary Black and Robert Cray and most recently Brad Paisley.
She has added musicians Alan Tully (guitars and vocals), Darren O’Reilly (drums and vocals), and Brian Murphy (bass and unwillingly vocals) to her act, giving her unique sound an acoustic-rock feel. In March 2011 she launched her new EP ‘The Thrill’ to a resounding reception from a full house at Whelan’s. The first track ‘Drifting’ was chosen for the latest ‘Woman’s Heart Now’ compilation, alongside Lisa Hannigan, Wallis Bird, Cathy Davey and many more.
Currently playing festivals across Ireland & the UK, the band have upcoming festivals including Indiependence, Collaboration Fest (UK), and Made in Temple Bar.
