The young band has been making a name for itself on the North Clare live music scene. Formed in June 2011 to provide music at a sibling’s graduation party, the band practiced hard all summer and landed a residency at a Lisdoonvarna pub during the September Matchmaking festival. Inspired by that experience, Purple Electric have gigged everywhere from local pubs, house parties and fundraisers, to St. Patrick’s Day Festivals and a Battle of the Band Competition at the Stables in UL. A performance highlight for Purple Electric was playing to a packed house of 500 at Glor Theatre, Ennis in the 2012 Final of Clare’s Got Talent. Lately, Purple Electric spent 6 weeks in the top 10 of the nationwide Red Bull Bedroom Jam Competition and recently featured on Clare FM’s Afternoon Show. The band includes Cian Doherty on drums, brothers Eoin and Brian Davies on vocals and bass, Laurence Egan on keyboards, Máiread Healy on vocals and James Cotter on lead guitar. Now all in college, the band is focusing more and more on creative endeavors, developing a list of original material that has been well received as part of their live performances. In addition to covers from an eclectic mix of artists including Coldplay, Christy Moore, The Killers, Adele, Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi, The Stunning and Snow Patrol, the band regularly includes crowd favourite orginal material Touching on the Surface and You Made Me Smile. “Touching On The Surface” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTgSqkc1Bfc “My Song” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1kgbUQVYTQ “Watch The Clock” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvOYPofLksk Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/PurpleElectric?fref=ts Twitter Page: @PurpleElectric_ ************************************* Trampoline Scene aka Senan Sheedy is a singer/guitarist and songwriter of alt/acoustic/rock music described as “infectious, moody, and uplifting” (MRU) plays and records presently with the talented and experienced multi-instrumentalist (including bouzouki/guitar), Darren White with recent addition Angelina Peach on harmony and other vocals.
