VINCI is five mates; Kurtis (Vocals/Guitar), Noely (Bass), Andy (Lead Guitar), Doyler (Cello/Keys) and Leo (Drums). We’ve been mates for between 7-20 years, all playing with different artists and bands on some of the biggest stages in Ireland and Europe but for one reason or another, they always came back to playing together because it felt different than anything else they did. The band was started in August this year, and in the short time since then, they’ve recorded a four track EP with Philip Magee (Kodaline/The Script), filmed the first ever music video at Dublin’s historic City Hall, released the debut single ‘Lions’ as a brand new band on November 11th, ‘Lions’ was chosen as Song Of The Day on Joe.ie, VINCI selected as Homegrown Hero on Today FM and they played a sold out Grand Social for their first ever headline show. Two months on from the very first time anyone had heard them play a single note together, they play Whelan’s main room in what could be one of the gigs of 2017, given their exponential growth. “Vinci’s cinematic & panoramic amalgamation of weathered rock and rhapsodic pop is gritty sincere, bluesy soulful, and raw yet beautiful.
