Celebrating the release of their latest album ‘Of Life and Lesser Evils’, The Midnight Union Band are hosting a launch party at Whelan’s Live (upstairs) on Thursday 5th February, 2015!
Best described as a unique blend of Americana/Folk with an alt-country twist. The Kilkenny band’s sonic landscape is incredibly vast: ranging from the most poetic and tender of ballads to fully fledged anthems that host an unrivalled energy. Their tunes bring a fresh twist on the classic sounds of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and The Band that have inspired them over the years.
Lead single ‘I’m Your Leader’ showcases the band at their best as uplifting brass arrangements and glorious vocal melodies coalesce to make for one overwhelmingly joyous listen.
Hosting a broad range of musical instrumentation including lap slide guitars, harmonicas and mandolins, The Midnight Union Band do not shy away from experimentation in order to create their signature Americana groove infused folk rock. Their debut record is packed full of irresistibly catchy melodies that will keep spinning in your head long after the record stops.
