STORYMAN

STORYMAN

plus guest PAUL McDONNELL ^ Upstairs ^ http://storymanmusic.com/ STORYMAN are the songwriting partnership of Kevin May and Mick Lynch. Since 2006 they’ve been criss-crossing the States, headlining their own coast to coast shows as well as touring with artists such as Ani Di Franco, They Might Be Giants and more recently Ingrid Michaelson (who features their song You Got Me on her 2014 album Lights Out). Formerly known as The Guggenheim Grotto, they released three critically acclaimed albums under that moniker, with Waltzing Alone and Happy The Man reaching Number 1 in the American iTunes Folk Chart in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Early in their career they won the 6th Annual Independent Music Award for best folk/songwriter song and since then they’ve had numerous songs featured in TV and film such as Brothers and Sisters, One Tree Hill, Eli Stone, Pretty LIttle Liars, The Education of Charlie Banks and Pretty Ugly People. With their most recent album This Time Round, they have had a musical rebirth, working with producer Chris Kuffner (Ingrid Michaelson, Secret Someones). While retaining the vocal harmonies and strong lyrical sensibilities that made The Guggenheim Grotto so successful, STORYMAN have developed their sonic landscape into something bigger, edgier and more beautiful. STORYMAN will be performing material from their entire back catalogue including their debut album Waltzing Alone which will be 10 years old this August. — — — — —
