One of the most heavily tipped bands to break in 2012 from the UK –Spector have announced their debut show at Whelan’s on Monday 7th May. Tickets €12.00 including booking fee are on sale this Friday, March 2nd at 9am.

The five piece indie rock band who hail from London were recently shortlisted in the BBC Sound Of 2012 poll, the NME are backing them and they have received great early plaudits from the press. They have also sold out their first two major shows in London at the legendary 100 Club. Spector have been confirmed as the main support on Florence and the Machine’s European Tour including a date at The O2, Dublin this Friday.

Spector comprises of Frederick Macpherson (vocals), Christopher Burman (guitar), Thomas Shickle (bass), Jed Cullen (synth, guitar) and Danny Blandly (drums). The band appeared on Later….With Jools Holland and performed ‘Chevy Thunder’ and ‘Never Fade Away’, which have been getting heavy airplay. Their debut album is set for release in 2012.
