Simply put, Shove are a Rock Band from Dublin. There are no bells and whistles to be found here, just good old, in your face, Rock ‘n’ Roll. Formed in 2008 by Garrett Hulgraine (Lead Guitar) and Gary Brennan (Vocals, Guitar), the dream was to play the music they wanted to play. Fed up with ‘trends’ and ‘marketing’ the lads believed people wanted to hear music from the soul, honest and real. Hooking up with like minded and experienced individuals Ciaran O’Gorman (Bass) and John Peyton (Drums) Shove embarked on a one year writing and moulding period before bringing their vision to the people. Feedback was instant and electric, an alternative sound had found it’s way on to the Dublin Music Scene.Shove have been compared to bands such as Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots and U2, drawing heavy influence from Seattle Style Rock. Collectively the band have over 40 years of experience bringing music to a live audience and both Gary and Garrett have recorded and released albums in previous incarnations. Whilst Shove have just completed their new E.P ‘Come In From The Rain’, it is on the stage where the band truly shines. The promise? A night to remember, that’s the deal, no compromise…
