Whelans Live are thrilled to present American pop newcomers SALES to Whelans, Upstairs on Sunday, October 18th. This two piece consists of wonderfully sweet lead vocals from Lauren, paired with head spinning hooks from Jordan on guitar and electronics. Their self titled EP has been making huge waves online throughout 2015 so far, garnering them much deserved hype at this years SXSW festival and on pretty much every major blog worldwide! Don’t miss these kids in their prime, and get a ticket for this show! Capacity is limited to 100 people. SALES is a collaboration between long-time friends, Lauren Morgan (guitar/vocals) and Jordan Shih (guitar/programming). The duo has been recording together on and off for years, eating an abundance of Thai food, and dreaming of tennis — but never really going the distance to the court. Instead, they have remained dedicated to their musical project, which has been described as minimalist guitar pop. SALES consists of vocal & instrumental improvisation, sampling, a lil’ bit of chopping & screwing, and of course, friendship.
