+ Guests

Eleven months after the release of Lethal Dialect’s concept-driven debut album, LD50 Part 2 is ready to drop and I’d like to invite you to take a listen and consider it for review. Streaming on Bandcamp now, the first album got a great reception, rising from the underground to reach the ears of the Irish music press, winning praise for its astute lyricism, with the song The National (available for free download) featuring on RTE’s hit drama Love/Hate. LD50 Part 1 ranked #7 in the Top Albums of 2011 on Irish music blog Harmless Noise.   With beats from G.I. and produced with ‘Jonnyboy’ Behan at the helm, LD50 Part 2 is a tightly succinct, knowledge infused Dublin hip-hop record. It will be released on 22nd January on Working Class Records with live dates and an album release party to follow.   ”Lethal is not a quirky or outrageous rapper, but he is changing the game. Thanks to last night’s show, a couple of dozen music fans now believe that Irish rap is a credible mini-industry.” – Celina Murphy, Hotpress magazine   ”Dublin’s latest export Lethal Dialect is probably in need of an intervention. But after listening to his intelligent, polished albums LD50 and LD50 part 2, we’ve all become enablers.” – MTV IGGY
