PHANTOM HITMEN

The Listening Post presents

PHANTOM HITMEN

The Listening Post is pleased to be hosting our first Dublin gig, getting you down to the Phantom sound of one of Melbourne’s most unique acts on their first ever Irish Tour, at the city’s top live music venue at Whelanslive on Wexford Street.

Dubtronic funk rhythms driven by fat horns, fatter bass and universal vibrations.

This is Phantom Hitmen.

This future-dub trio is the evolution of Melbourne’s funk, hip-hop, ska, reggae-dub, drum&bass, rock and groove improvisation scenes which creates the unique, refreshing, and infectious Phantom sound. Bountiful bouncing bass lines, contagious beats, meshed with a tight horn section and soulfully suggestive vocals combine to form the foundation of the Phantom Hitmen listening experience.

Three principal members (Ted Kazan, Matt Bray and Syd Preece) provide the beats, loops and live electronica, spiced up with smoking live horns and spot on vocal harmonies. Guest performers often jump up at shows to drop rhymes and lines, maintaining the ever-evolving Phantom guise. The trio grab a live audience and enchant them on an epic journey into surreal sonic possibilities in a genre embracing celebration in true 21 Century style.

The Debut EP `Phantom Power’ is now up and ready on all recognised online stores and bandcamp unleashes the merchandise. There are a myriad of tunes ready to drop from these pioneers of deep space bounce and a host of talented artists from around the globe are getting involved to collaborate. New EP ‘Bigger Picture’, fresh from the presses will be available on the tour.

Fresh, constantly evolving and guaranteed to get the party rolling.
