A return to Ireland a year after Kelly bought his legendary A To Z shows to the Northern Hemisphere at The Sugar Club, Dublin over 4 nights. Tying in perfectly with the European release of his biography and 8 CD set How To Make Gravy the A-Z shows saw Paul romping through his rather unbelievably huge back catalogue and playing close to 100 of his own songs over 4 beautiful nights in Dublin.

How To Make Gravy, released in a beautifully presented hard back package with a 64 page booklet of photographs and 8 discs encompassing live recordings of Paul’s vast catalogue of songs and is now available the How To Make Gravy Audio book, as read by Paul Kelly. Featuring over 17 hours unabridged on 16 CDs, it’s the perfect accompaniment to an impending holiday break or long road-trip.

Mirroring the structure of Paul’s A To Z Shows – where he performs over a hundred of his songs alphabetically over four nights – Paul describes the highs and lows of performing, the art of song-writing, being on the road with the band, tales of his childhood, family, friends and fellow musicians. In addition, there is a bonus disc  which features some of Australia’s finest actors – Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Judy Davis and Ben Mendelsohn – each reading a selected chapter. Playful and honest, insightful and intimate, How To Make Gravy is an irresistible reflection on both the big and little things in life.

Paul Kelly is a born storyteller. For the past thirty years he has written songs inspired by everything from cricket to religion, from social issues to literature, and of course the land and the history of Australia. His songs have the power to connect people of all generations. Favourites such as ‘Before Too Long’, ‘Dumb Things’, ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow’, ‘How To Make Gravy’, ‘Leaps and Bounds’ and ‘To Her Door’ will all be highlights of the show!

Paul Kelly’s memoir, How To Make Gravy is published by Penguin. The accompanying eight CD box set and Audio books are out now.
