tanksGeneral are a 4 piece band based in Dublin Ireland with no detectable genre or purpose.
Comprised of Declan Delaney on Vocals and Bass, Kevin Cummins on Vocals and Guitars, Paddy Cahill on Guitars and Ross Williams on drums they are currently trying to justify their existence as a band through a sound that strangely bears no reseblence to the influences of the band members.
Their output has been described as a whingy dull noise with an almost endearing quality created mostly out of pity. Career highlights include finding two euro on the ground on the way to rehearsals and coming runners up in a tanksGeneral tribute competition.
The band was formed in 2013, a year which critics noted had “slightly higher than average rainfall” and have been touring and recording since. They have released their debut EP ‘Songs from the Bomb Shelter’ in 2016 which has been described as a “scandalous oscar snub”.
