/// POST PUNK PODGE & THE TECHNOHIPPIES ///

https://facebook.com/PostPunkPodge https://postpunkpodgeandthetechnohippies.bandcamp.com/ Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies is a figment of punk and the Post’s imagination a singer/rapper/musician from Limerick. His goal is to turn the symbol of the brown envelope from a symbol of corruption, deception and greed into a symbol of self-expression, defiance and laughter. Accompanied by his sidekick DR. Asparagus Montague and DJ Jurassic Park 2 their live show consists of Podge on Violin through a load of pedals and main vocals and Asparagus on guitar, backing Vocals and Jurassic Park 2 on Laptop and DJ controller. Their sound is a hybrid of many different genres including Punk, Electronic, Krautrock, Irish Trad, Techno, Hip Hop and Classical. They released their debut EP entitled Kick Against the Pricks on November 24th 2017 and Podge released the Stark Raving EP with Naive Ted in October 2017 and collaborated with Jimmy Penguin on his Savages EP in May 2018. Their energetic live shows are an attack on the senses. Lyrically Podge writes about social issues such as Depression, Anxiety and what it is like to live in Ireland and the world today. Having left a trail of money, degrees and chaotic noise wherever they have played this summer. Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies enjoy subverting genres and fusing comedic elements with a serious social conscience and message of defiance against injustices in the world. They are too fat for pigeonholes and revel in their unique freedom of expression through the medium of post punk and everything in between. Their recent single entitled ‘Home is Where the Heart Bleeds’ is a charity single to raise money for the Novas homeless charity in Limerick and their new ep entitled ‘Post Millenium Tension’ will drop before the year is out with a keen eye on the dancefloor, paving a more electronic and eclectic path. After playing festivals such as Body & Soul, Electric Picnic and Knockanstockan to name but a few they are in the music game for the long haul and not a mere flash in the pan act. Up the Punks & the Postmen and everyone in between.. — — — — —
