Lowlek are an Alternative-Funk collective from Cork City.
Although a recent addition to the music scene (formed January 2013) they have cut their musical teeth with various bands over the last few years, as such their musical influences are as wide and eclectic as the sheer madness of their sound.
From the brassy smatterings of 70’s funk and Zappa-esque experimentation, to Punk performances tempered with driving Soul vocals, Lowlek have carved themselves out a distinct musical tone.
They pride themselves on the unique visual style of the band, which is tied in heavily with both their mascot and on-stage theatrics.
Lowlek will be launching their first single in Cyprus Avenue on the 10th of August for pyshical purchase and free download online.
