plus support ^ Upstairs ^ King Bones are a 6pc synth-punk group from Dublin city. Under former name discopunks the band released 3 singles, performing headline shows at The Workman’s Club, Dublin & Whelan’s and appearing at Castlepalooza, INDIEPENDENCE Music & Arts Festival, BD Festival, Daytripper and KnockanStockan. Following a lineup change in the summer of 2016 as the group became a 6pc and renamed as King Bones. The debut release was an EP featuring 4 tracks that included lead track ‘Who’s Got The Drugs’ which was launched at Whelan’s in April 2017. The band also released a video for ‘Who’s Got The Drugs’ featuring singer Keith which was directed by Isaac Broe, filmed by Dara Munnis and shot in in Dublin one continuous take. The group followed up the EP launch with festival appearances at Groove Festival, Castlepalooza and two thunderous shows at Electric Picnic before closing out the year with a headline at The Grand Social in December. So far this year the band have performed at The Last Mixed Tape birthday at The Sound House, the BD Festival in Glendalough and have just released a video for live favourite ‘Party Animals’ shot in Barcelona by Max Carpio. The follow up to 2017’s eponymous debut EP is the new My Best Friend EP launched on May 31st at Bello Bar.
