plus support CALLUM STEWART _ Main Venue _Facebook event Frances announces her new single ‘No Matter’ which is due for release this Friday, 27th January. Produced by Mojam (Sam Smith, Naughty Boy), the single is the latest track to be released from the critically-revered talent’s highly-anticipated debut album ‘Things I’ve Never Said’, released 17th March. Frances will headline Whelans, Saturday April 1st. Tickets are on sale from Ticketmaster and WAV. Following on her previous single ‘Say It Again’ (which was co-written with Greg Kurstin and went straight in at BBCR1’s B-List), ‘No Matter’ is a gorgeous slice of piano-led pop that showcases the songwriter’s innate talent of crafting authentic, stunning ballads. Speaking on the track, Frances says “I wrote ‘No Matter’ when I’d just moved to London. Coming from a small town and moving to the capital was overwhelming and exciting, there’s so many people from all over the world in this one beautiful city, living their lives and following their dreams. In those first few weeks I met so many people from so many different places, and I realised that we don’t just share a city, we share our humanity.” In 2014, multi-instrumentalist Frances released the bedroom-recorded original version of ‘Grow’, leading to further releases with landmark labels Kitsune & Communion Records, nominations from the BBC and BRITs as well as winning widespread fans & early adopters including Annie Mac, The Fader, Noisey, Stereogum & i-D. Two years later and the sublime talent has surpassed all expectations, amassing an incredible 100 million streams across her catalogue so far, playing pristine slots at Glastonbury, Coachella & Lollapalooza and selling out landmark London venue KOKO. After ending 2016 with a performance on Channel 4’s ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ as well as having ‘Grow’ selected for the soundtrack of British film ‘Mum’s List’ (starring Rafe Spall & Emilia Fox), Frances kicked off the New Year with a very special announcement that she wrote and performed an original song for a coveted spot on the ‘50 Shades Darker’ soundtrack, alongside ZAYN, Taylor Swift & John Legend.
