DAVIE FUREY

plus support THE CARTY SISTERS ^ Upstairs ^ Fusing traditional roots with contemporary folk and rock, Davie Furey’s sound is characterised by storytelling, energy and guitar riffs that beat like a pulse. Citing Christy Moore, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen as a diverse cross-section of influences, Davie has drawn on a wide range of inspiration while crafting his own sound. His latest offering, an eleven track album entitled ‘Easy Come Easy Go’ follows his well received 2009 album ‘Out of Your Arms’. Davie’s knack for a telling a story through song and his ability to engage a crowd have won him support slots with the likes of Damien Dempsey, Josh Ritter and John Spillane. Davie’s songwriting, like his voice, has evolved over the years he has been performing. The voice has become raspier, the stories more searingly honest, the guitar more strikingly memorable. Fuelled with unique observations, driven by passion, and delivered with equal parts strength, fragility, and humour, ‘Easy Come Easy Go’ marks a significant step forward for this promising emerging Irish talent. Davie recently signed a worldwide publishing deal with AGR-TV/Universal Music Publishing in Germany which will ensure that his music reaches a much wider audience. The first single ‘Good To Be Back Home’ was released in March 2015. Songs from ‘Easy Come Easy Go’ have already been played on RTE, BBC, Highland Radio, KCLR, Midlands 103 and most other Irish regional stations. ‘Good To Be Back Home’ has also been play listed in Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Switzerland, France, Australia, New Zealand and America. The second single ‘The Sky’s Alive’ will be released 21st September. ‘Easy Come Easy Go’ will be released 28th September 2015 and is available for pre order now.
