IAN WHITTY & THE EXCHANGE

CLOCKWORK APPLE PRESENTS:

IAN WHITTY & THE EXCHANGE

BOY LIGHTS FIRE

MACKEREL THE CAT

Ian Whitty & The Exchange, Boy Lights Fire and Mackerel The Cat are all set for a night of fun this coming Friday March 11th upstairs in Whelan’s!

Headliners Ian Whitty and the Exchange write catchy alternative pop music and hail from Cork. They released their debut album “Lucky Caller No 9” in 2009 which saw all four singles receive extensive air play on national and regional radio play lists. The success of the album spurred the band on to strive for bigger things and in 2010 they performed with Irish contempraries Lisa Hannigan and Villagers and managed to fit in a few festival slots alongside Florence and the Machine, The Magic Number and Josh Ritter too. For anyone who hasn’t yet heard or seen Ian Whitty & The Exchange, you will be in for a serious treat!

Boy Lights Fire complete the line up for March 11th with their bouncy, indie rock sound which has seen them share stages with ASIWYFA as well as Jape last year and won them a slot at 2011’s Electric Picnic later this year. The release of their EP Weatherman will certainly solidify their status as Dundalk’s newest big thing.

Doors 8.30pm, Admission €10, Upstairs Whelans, Friday March 11th —
