ReClaim “Keep it Down This show launches the brand new E.P by one of the hardest working bands in Ireland. The music will blow you mind and the songs will leave you breathless. Reclaim play high energy rock with a progressive indie flavor that possesses the audience into the ReClaim trance. They flythrough the normal haunts of Dublin like a tornado removing trailer parks. Though the music lends it’s self heavily on prog-rock it steals the groove from some of the greatest funk all-stars. Imagine you put Rush, Yes, Grand Daddy , Peter Tosh into a glass jar and toss it into the uncertainty of Niagara falls. ReClaim are : Glenn Brady Guitars and Vox, Aran O’Malley drums and percussion, Graham Tully bass. http://www.reclaimmusic.com ______________________________  Chayka are a six piece soul/funk band from Kildare, Dublin & Offaly. Since settling on a line-up in the summer of 2010 Chayka have been gigging, writing and recording and are currently putting the final touches on their self produced debut album which they plan releasing this summer. Their live shows have been described as dynamic, high energy and uplifting, a mix of solid rhythms, powerful vocals and catchy hooks, live highlights to date have included Knockanstockan 2011, Dublin Soul Festival and the Rathmines Festival Under the Clock. Chayka are: Emilene Kavanagh: Vocals Sean De Burca, Ric Panza: Guitars Alison Reynolds: Piano, Sax Ken Richmond: BassJonny Kelly: Drums ______________________________________ Fred and Bob – Anti-Gravity Love E Contrary to what the name may suggest, Fred and Bob is actually a Dublin based, four-piece alternative band consisting of three girls and one boy. The hard working band has played numerous venues and festivals around Dublin and Ireland including typically energetic performances at Electric Picnic 2011 and the inaugural Camden Crawl Dublin 2012. Fred and Bob will launch their second EP “Anti-Gravity Love” on 15th June. The EP recorded by Ian McNulty (Ambience Affair, Henrietta Game, Villagers) will be available as a free download from the Fred and Bob Bandcamp. To support the release, the band will play the following tour dates across the country: 15 June – Citog @ Cellar Bar, Galway 19 June – Whelans 30 June – Auntie Annies, Belfast Since 2009 Fred and Bob have consistently received strong radio support. The debut single Hex You received airplay on BBC 6 Music, 2FM, Phantom FM and Today FM. The follow up On a Good Day… EP led to a commendation from Jim Carroll (Irish Times), further airplay from Rory McConnell (BBC Radio 1) and a studio session for Dan Hegarty (2FM). The bands most recent single, Caramel Back, cemented their position on national radio with widespread airplay on 2FM, Today FM and Phantom FM in Ireland. Growing international interest was also evident with airplay in the UK, Netherlands and the US. Fred and Bob have been dubbed an “act to watch” by Dan Hegarty of 2FM and aim to deliver on that tag with their new EP and live performances this year. ————————————– RORY BOWENS
Rory Bowens is a Singer/Songwriter from Balrath, Co. Meath. In the last few years he has played venues from Navan to London, supporting The Walls, Oisin Leech (The Lost Brothers) and Jimmy Monaghan (Music For Dead Birds) among others. His song ‘Bits and Pieces’ has recently received air play on RTÉ 2FM, 2XM and I-Radio. He has also recently added a live band of Brian C. Kelly on Bass and brother Dónal Bowens on Drums and things have gotten substantially noisier. Rosa Nutty will be joining the band on the night.
————————————– Dan Hegarty (2FM): “Dublin’s Fred & Bob are not a duo just in case you’re wondering. They do however have a habit of writing the kind of songs that The Breeders, Sleater Kinney and Veruca Salt would have given their eye teeth for during the 90s! It’s not all retrospective though, these guys and girls have an energy that is so infectious.” Jim Carroll – The Ticket (Irish Times): “making fuzzy, punky, energetic pop with loads of likeable throwback ’90s indie edges. EP ‘On a good day…’ will make you twist and shout!” HotPress Magazine: “Imagine a slightly roughed-up Jades mashed with a nastier Blondie and you’re getting close. In Emma Greenhalgh they have a fearsome vocalist.” Phil Udell (State Magazine): “Very Rock. Very Good.”
