HOODMAN BLIND
and an extra special guest
Hoodman Blind [Niamh O Brien (harp), Seán Ó Dalaigh (fiddle) and Finn Harper (accordion)] came together in 2016 to start a new journey in traditional music incorporating new compositions and the musics of Finland and Sweden, where they have both studied and performed.
The group released their debut EP in 2018 with the help of experts in the field of traditional and contemporary Irish music, Jack Talty (Ensemble Eriu) and Sean Og Graham (Beoga). While their recording has garnered much praise, it is in live performance that the trio come alive, bringing the audience into the world of their own imagination and making music “…that cuts right through to the heartstrings and the nerve-endings at the same time.” Ian Bascombe, The Journal Of Music.
