EP launch and debut headline show from new Irish pop/rock group THE GEDDES Dublin based pop/rock group -
The Geddes have been causing quite a stir on the Irish music scene since they released their debut single ‘Frontline’ in November of 2014. The single was a massive success for the group in terms of establishing them very quickly on the Irish music scene as a group who are out to succeed and who will stop at nothing to ensure that their music is heard. The song was chosen by UTV group radio (FM104, Q102, Galway Bay FM and more) as their ‘Select Irish’ track for the month of February. 98FM , TodayFM, iRadio and many regional stations also showed a lot of love for the band and their new song with plenty of airplay and on air performances.
The band has been busy since then writing and recording new music, including their next single titled ‘We’re Only Human’ which is from their upcoming EP release, which as of yet is untitled. ‘We’re Only Human’ will be released on the 24th of April, followed by the EP release and their debut headline show at Wheelans in Dublin on Friday May 29th.
The band is made up of Dubliners -‐ Eammon Hegarthy, Gavin Doyle, Jason Keogh and Liam McDonnell and is fronted by Mayo native -‐ Liam Geddes. Liam had a short stint on The Voice Of Ireland in 2012, when he was mentored by ex-‐Westlife member -‐ Kian Egan. He made it to the quarterfinals, but unfortunately didn’t get any further. After departing The Voice, Liam threw himself into the live music scene and has been very busy performing all over Ireland as a one-‐man-‐ show with his acoustic guitar, or his number one instrument , the piano. He has been extremely busy writing songs, and has co-‐written with many other artists including a collaboration with Dublin based rappers ‘Class A’z’. Their single ‘Lifeboat’ became a huge hit and was played on radio stations across the country. Liam has also developed a strong fan base in America where we regularly gigs, and most recently performed to over 100,000 people at the Pittsfield Fourth Of July celebrations.
The Geddes’s next single ‘We’re Only Human’ is officially being released on Friday the 24th of April and will be available to download from the iTunes Store and all digital music platforms. Geddes will then launch their debut EP on Friday the 29th of May at their debut headline show in Wheelans Dublin the same night.
