A Night of Folk & Country
ZACHARY LUCKY & KENAN FLANNERY
One Night Only at Whelan’s
Little Whelan’s • Tue 7th October 2025
A rare and unmissable night of songs, stories, and soul.
Canadian country legend Zachary Lucky brings his gravel-voiced, old-school charm to Dublin for the first time, fresh off the success of his critically acclaimed album “The Wind” — hailed as one of the year’s best and dominating the European Americana charts. A grandson of Canadian country pioneer Smilin’ Johnnie Lucky, Zachary is widely regarded as one of the most authentic voices in roots music today, often compared to Gordon Lightfoot, Kris Kristofferson, and Townes Van Zandt. A true master storyteller with a deep connection to the land and people he sings about.
Joining him is Dublin’s own Kenan Flannery, the award-winning folk songwriter praised for his “bone-breakingly beautiful” songs and a voice that “hits you with the intensity of a hundred Irish poets.” Mixing the grit of American folk with the soul of Irish ballad tradition, Kenan has become a powerful presence on the international folk scene. He’s performed on major stages across Ireland and Europe, supporting names like The Wolfe Tones and sharing lineups with the likes of Lisa Hannigan and Ye Vagabonds. His shows are raw, funny, heartbreaking and one-of-a-kind.
This is a once-in-a-blue-moon, up-close performance from two masters of their craft. Only 50 tickets available. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Don’t miss it. Don’t regret it. Grab your ticket now.
