Following the debut single “Inertia” which secured the band a place in the top 30 bands in Ireland by The Neon Room Dublin at the end of 2023, the band return with the self release of their limited edition 7″ double A-side record “Spiritus Mundi / Happy Days” which were hand stamped and numbered by the band.
Blending the sounds of The Velvet Underground, Arab Strap and Whipping Boy, Wifeswap debuted in October 2022 at a sold-out Workman’s Cellar gig. Since then they’ve taken to the stage at Whelan’s Summer & Winter Ones to Watch & in support of Peter Doherty at his sold out Opium show in April 2023. In early 2024, the band has featured three times at The Workman’s Club bank holiday events curated by Trevor Dietz (Manager, Fontaines D.C.) Accompanying a cacophony of art rock ambitions are poignant lyrics influenced by Samuel Beckett & William S. Burroughs.
They will be joined on the night by Séimh & Emma Fowler.
