The New 52 are back!

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of their debut album “Let Me Sleep”, The New 52 are getting back together for one night only with a reunion show in Whelans on April 26th.

The New 52 burst on to the scene in 2016, making a big splash with their melodic brand of indie-rock. Their debut album “Let Me Sleep” was released in 2016, with lead single “Turning” getting extensive radio play. They toured relentlessly in this period, wowing audiences across the Ireland & the UK, before bringing that live energy into the studio for their 2nd major release, 2018’s “Green EP”. Sadly, despite remaining firm friends, life circumstances brought the band to an end in 2019, which the band commemorated with a farewell concert in their hometown of Dublin.
In the intervening years since their split, the members have gone on to cement their place in the Irish music scene with their solo projects. Lead singer D. Cullen has released 2 widely acclaimed solo albums and garnered significant media attention, including performing twice on The Late Late Show, guitarist Conor McLoughlin & drummer Sean O’Connor have recorded & toured extensively with their band Sick Love, accumulating millions of streams on Spotify and accruing a huge fan base, and bassist Mikey Deasy has worked prolifically as both a session bassist and as frontman of Cry Baby Purple, showcasing his fantastic songwriting and vocal skills. During this time, the members have all remained in close contact and continued to work with each other, but this will be their first show as The New 52 since their split, and they can’t wait to bring those songs back to life for one night only.
