SUBH

Subh is a new project from songwriter and producer Ryan O’Neill. O’Neills experience as a session musician and producer for many acts throughout Ireland has brought up a unique opportunity for an alternative band structure. Bringing acts together to collaborate and produce music they otherwise would not. Taking influence from jam bands of the past, such as Steely Dan, Boz Scraggs or contemporary band Vulfpeck.
The initial concept was trialed with a sold-out performance in the BelloBar, Dublin under the title “Secret Agent: Buttercup”. The past two years have been spent constructing a music studio, collaborating with songwriters and planning the production of future Subh releases. Now it’s time to finally launch Subh, with a fresh acoustic concert of the material it is our desire to put the songs first and the music second.
Lead by Ryan O’Neill, the initial launch will feature Donegal songwriter Ronan Friel. A rotating roster of contributors is already under-production with artists such as Tadhg Williams and Gemma Cox. This collective is bound to surprise listeners with its quality of musicianship and its genreless commitment to serve the song.
It has been said, there are 50 ways to make a record.
It is our wish to explore them.
