Some One’s Sons, an Irish folk band based in Mullingar, has become a fresh breath of authenticity in the contemporary Irish folk scene. In the past year they have headlined sold-out performances including the Liverpool Irish Centre, Whelan’s,and The Cobblestone, along with live radio performances on BBC Merseyside and supporting The Fureys. The band now embark on a summer tour, with performances supporting renowned acts like the Wolfe Tones and George Murphy, a headline performance at Whelan’s, and festivals including Electric Picnic, Galway Folk Fest, Riverfest, and the Fleadh Cheoil.
With lead singers Daniel and Greg at the helm, the band effortlessly captures the essence of Irish storytelling through a seamless blend of ballads and lively tunes. Backed with booming vocals and harmonies, the band are heavily influenced by The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers and The Mary Wallopers.
