RENNIE & LÚAN
Traditional Music and Stories
Little Whelan’s • Sun 20th September 2026
Rennie and Lúan perform tunes, songs and stories from Ireland, Scotland and beyond, alongside original compositions. With wooden flute, bouzouki, whistles, fiddle, bodhrán and vocal harmonies, their finely crafted concerts weave a tapestry of music, stories, humor and history that takes the audience on a wild journey.
Rennie Pearson is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer from New Zealand whose music is deeply rooted in the traditions of Ireland, Scotland and Maritime Canada. Performing on wooden flute, whistles, fiddle, guitar and bodhrán, he blends storytelling with the music to craft an enchanting performance which has connected with audiences all over the world.
Lúan is a Galway-based folk musician who brings together traditional influences with a background in rock and metal. A bouzouki player and singer, he performs in both English and Irish, drawing on a repertoire of lesser-known folk songs and tunes shaped by years on the Galway trad and folk circuit.
