Whelan’s Upstairs • Friday 4th July 2025

Pink Rabbits is the artist name under which Paul Walsh releases music.

Galway native Paul has been based in Dublin since studying media in college and now works as a TV Sports Presenter/Reporter with RTE News, after spending 17 years with Virgin Media (formerly TV3) where he was a familiar face on its sports news bulletins and Ireland AM.

After a few open mic gigs, Paul acted on his passion for music and started releasing songs in 2021. He has released four singles so far: It’s Over (2021), This Is What We Came For (2021), Home (2022) and Fallen (2022).

Following the release of his last single Fallen, he continued to write and record music, culminating in the completion of his debut album To Be Loved, which will be released late
September.

The album contains 12 tracks and was recorded with Ciaran Parnell, who along with Paul co-produced the album.

Let It Go will be the fifth single to be released from the album and has a release date of June 18th. The single release will be marked by a launch night upstairs in Whelans on July 4th.

Paul and his band kicked off what will be a busy 2025 for Pink Rabbits on the live scene with a support slot in Whelans in March.

On stage, Paul is joined by Graeme Haughton on drums, Alvaro Martinez on keys, Shane Fitzgerald on bass, Dunny Mac Aogáin on rhythm guitar/backing vocals and Luke Fuji on lead guitar.
