MARCH/APRIL 2025 Irish singer-songwriter, Ogreta, returns home after beginning her music career in Los Angeles. She brings along a staple of the LA singer-songwriter scene, Olivia Kaplan, for a short run through southern Ireland. The two will co-headline small venues in Galway, Dingle, West Cork and Dublin. The bill promises intimate performances by the two lyric-driven powerhouse artists and will showcase their respective new record releases.
OGRETA
A blend of poignant and playful lyricism and cinematic arrangements, Ogreta is the indie folk project from Irish artist Penny O’Brien. Produced and recorded in LA where O’Brien is based, Ogreta’s debut album ‘Happy Belated’ was released in June 2024. Happy Belated teases us with deep folk accents and draws us in with weighted builds and rounded, soft lyricism. A refreshingly raw and charming perspective on relationships, loneliness, and time passing.
