Whelan’s Upstairs • Wed 16th April 2025

Norabelle crafts beautifully hushed, melodic folk music with intricate arrangements and poetic lyricism. Influenced by artists such as Red House Painters, Bill Callahan, and Lambchop, their sound combines delicate guitar picking, intricate piano lines, and lush vocal harmonies.

Norabelle’s debut album, Wren, earned widespread acclaim for its poetic storytelling and elegant arrangements. The Sunday Business Post described it as featuring “achingly sweet harmonies, overlaying acoustic guitars, cello and the lightest percussion, but it’s their poetic storytelling that sets their songs apart from the throng.”

On April 11th, their second album The Mountain Blinks will be released. Each track invites listeners into deeply personal narratives. From the poignant reflection on memory and mourning in “She’s Not Here” to the tender love song “Warm Blood,” the album carries a raw emotional weight. The first two singles “Black Ribbon” and “How Long Does it Take” have been released and available on Spotify and all major streamers.

The album will be launched upstairs in Whelans on the 16th April.
