EMERGING IRISH SINGER-SONGWRITER NÍV SET TO RELEASE STUNNING NEW SINGLE ‘GOD KNOWS’ OUT MARCH 7th

“NÍV creates an ethereal soundscape that caresses the ears in emotive songwriting and elegant musicianship.” – Indie Buddie

“Home is a tender track penned during the first lockdown – and serves as further evidence of the Kildare artist’ s phenomenal songwriting chops.” – Hot Press

“Between the innately unique tone and timbre of Niamh’ s voice which emphasises her Irish accent (similarly to how Hozier and the late Dolores O’Riordan voices are defined by their accents), and what sounds like overdubbed three-part harmonies in the refrain,

“Home” cannot help but sound comforting, a feeling which Niamh evocatively sells to the listener.” – Babylon Radio

“Nív makes us really think about the power of a song to take something so abstract as a memory and to make it tangible.” – Goddamn! Arts Blog

Nív is a singer songwriter hailing from Kildare, based in Dublin. This year, Nív was awarded the prestigious Dermot Kennedy BIMM Scholarship and is currently studying songwriting at BIMM University, Dublin. Nív has performed at festivals like Brigid 2025, Vantastival and Electric Picnic and venues like The Sugar Club and Whelans. Nív’s solo career has had growing success; releasing three singles on all platforms, gaining over 48k Spotify streams and 25k new listeners across 73 countries.

Nív sold out her first Single Launch in The Workman’s Club for her single ‘Silly Voices’ and was given the opportunity to perform on Hotpress Magazine’s Lockdown Sessions. This single was chosen to be added to RTÉ Radio 1’s Recommends List. Her latest single ‘Moonlight’ was chosen as Hotpress Magazine’s Track of the Day. She was also shortlisted for Four Star Pizza’s Star Nation Competition as a Leinster Provincial Winner. Her latest release ‘Home’ was also premiered on Hotpress Magazine’s website.

In 2022, Nív was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and spent the year working, travelling and using her music to spread Irish culture in North Carolina and across the United States. Nív gained a new American audience and during this year, Nív held a ticketed concert at a venue of 250 people in Davidson Davie College North Carolina and the event sold out.

Nív’s music has been revered by many music blogs including Buzz.ie, Eirewave, Indiebuddie, Goddamn!, Indie Music Center and Curious For Music. Her music is inspired by singer songwriters such as Damien Rice, The Cranberries and Joni Mitchell with influences from Irish traditional music and folk songs.

Nív is due to release her upcoming debut EP soon with it’s first single ‘God Knows’ scheduled for release on the 7th March 2025.
