Mary Coughlan, Frances Black, Declan O’Rourke plus a very special guest come together for a special night of music to help legendary Irish guitarist Jimmy Smyth. They’ll also be joined by musicians Alan Connor, Gerry O’Connor, Richie Buckley, John McLoughlin and more.
Recently, unprecedented rainfall caused the River Aughrim to burst its banks and badly flood Jimmy’s home. Everything on the ground floor was completely destroyed…Adding to the nightmare, insurance couldn’t come to the rescue as Jimmy’s home was uninsured due to its proximity to the river. To make matters worse, not just one but both family cars were also completely destroyed by the flooding. Insurance will only possibly cover a minimal amount for one of the cars. On top of everything mentioned above there is also the huge added cost of preventing this unimaginable situation from happening again. This is expected to run into thousands of euro…
