Frances Wilde, RVE, April Cleary and Nessa McHugh come together for the final night of Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women (Fri Jan 31 – Mon Feb 3), a festival offering a diverse celebration of women’s contributions to culture, society and history. This event is a powerful tribute to the talented women shaping the grassroots Dublin music scene, with a spotlight on the soulful sounds of the city’s songwriters.
Little Women at Little Whelan’s is a unique opportunity to experience folk and acoustic melodies in an intimate setting, as Frances Wilde and guests perform their own heartfelt songs, highlighting some of the brightest lyrical talents in Dublin’s music scene.
Following a sold-out concert in November 2024, the Sad Girls Good Vibes collective take to the stage to usher in the season of Imbolc with their beautifully evocative songs. Expect heartfelt lyrics, delicate harmonies, and a homage to the strength and vulnerability that comes with the changing of the seasons, and stories shared through music.
Little Women at Little Whelan’s offers a cosy night of intimate folky music. Come for the music, stay for the magic.
FRANCES WILDE
Frances Wilde is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter living in North County Dublin. Her music takes inspiration from folk heroes Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez and contemporary bands including boygenius, Fleet Foxes and Andy Shauf.
April Cleary
April Cleary is a semi-professional deep feeler, hailing from South Co Dublin. A singer-songwriter inspired by Lizzy McAlpine, her genre is pick n’ mix.
Nessa McHugh
Nessa McHugh is an extraordinary singer-songwriter whose roots trace back to the lush landscapes of County Meath, now flourishing in the vibrant musical scene of Dublin. With a voice that resonates with soulfulness and beauty, Nessa possesses a unique ability to weave intricate melodies and heartfelt lyrics into mesmerising compositions.
RVE
RVE is a pixie-indie singer songwriter from Galway. Now Dublin-based, RVE is a collaborative duo project featuring Argentinian drummer and producer Juani Genovese, making tunes for your sad gal playlist.
