Ceol-Tec – One of Ireland’s most unique musicians.
Kane O’Rourke was born in London to Irish parents – his mother is from An Gaeltacht, Raith Carin and his father is a Carrick-on-Shannon native.
O’Rourke comes from a family steeped in tradition, from an early age Kane loved to listen to Irish records. He plays fiddle, bouzouki, whistle, guitar, bodhrán, keyboards as well as lilting and producing.
He learned to play traditional Irish music on the whistle and fiddle from legendary Clare fiddler and Master Tutor, the late Brendan Mulkere in London.
In 2004 he moved to County Meath, Ireland to pursue his musical career. Shortly after, O’Rourke released his debut album, ‘The Jolly Tinker ‘ to great acclaim. Kane has been an integral part of the musical landscape for 20 years.
He has toured the world and played with many of Ireland’s top
performing music artists, from Mike Denver, Derek Ryan to Daniel O’Donnell.
Kane’s new album, a unique solo project titled Ceol-Tec seamlessly blends traditional Irish melodies with uplifting energy filled contemporary electronic tech vibes.
