Siz Promotions presents the third issue of their format, Indie Nights – Shoegaze Edition.
A showcase of the best new acts, a must to see perform live, featuring Merricat, revue and Mother Of Pearl.
Merricat
Merricat are an alt-rock band based in Dublin, Ireland. The band met in late 2024 through the music society at NCAD, however, they only began taking the project more seriously in the summer of 2025, refining their sound. Their two recent releases, “springfield glen” and “merrow”, mark important milestones in the band’s evolving musical direction and will be included on their upcoming debut EP, due for release in April.
Their music draws inspiration from a wide range of bands and genres, with key influences including DIIV, The Smashing Pumpkins and Mary and the Junkyard.
revue
Coming from the Tuscan hills, revue are a five-piece band that completely embodies the spirit of a new generation. Their sound is a bold fusion of post-punk urgency, shoegaze atmosphere and indie rock introspection.
In 2025, the band released 2EPs, STARDROPS and ANEMOIA. The first one, proposes a punchier, more immediate sound, while the second one explores the theme on nostalgia, featuring gentler, more contemplative shades. Together, these pieces reflect the band’s defining sense of variety, revealing two complementary sides of the same coin.
revue has performed extensively throughout Italy and have had bookings in Asia for a mini tour. A release party was held for their debut EP last year in Dublin. In June 2025 they’ve had the amazing chance to play at Firenze Rocks, supporting acts such as Bad Nerves, Shame, Weezer and Green Day.
Mother of Pearl
Mother of Pearl are a post hardcore/shoegaze act based in Limerick, Ireland. Forming in late-2024, the band has since released their debut album, “So Long to Knowing”, toured extensively around Ireland and have begun recording their follow-up in Windmill Lane Recording Studio in Dublin. The band have made a name for themselves in Limerick City, selling out multiple headline shows, including a sold out album release party in Dolans Kasbah. Their sound can be best described as a sonic wall of texture and colour, blending guitar intensity with rich vocals and lush harmonies that compliment their abrasive and captivating live shows. Initially starting out as a shoegaze band, Mother of Pearl have secured their place at the forefront of the Limerick hardcore scene.
2026 starts with Mother of Pearl taking part in Whelan’s One’s to Watch, All We Have are Days festival as well as the recording for the bands follow up to their debut album, which is scheduled to be released in late-2026.
