After having only formed in lockdown, Fake Friends are about to play their first ever headline show upstairs at Whelans, Dublin, Saturday July 15th. Consisting of Cathal Flaherty and Patrick Kelly, They are also joined onstage by drummer Luke Tai, Bassist Phil Dunphy and additional guitars by Darren Kelly. Their debut single ‘Maybe’, released December 23rd 2022, has been played widely on national radio including Today FM, FM104, Beat 102 103, Spin SW & iRadio. They were shortlisted as a finalist of Irish Music Month on KCLR in association with Hot Press and IBI. Their second single Spit me Out was released March 10th. Fake Friends have been widely talked about as ones to watch for 2023 and have very exciting plans for the year ahead. This will be a special night where fans of the band will hear some of their upcoming songs for the very first time.
