After her sold-out run in Smock Alley’s Scene and Heard Festival, comedian Eve Darcy brings her sharp, funny and refreshingly honest stand-up show to the Town Hall Theatre, Galway. Married Without Children explores society’s (i.e. Eve’s mother’s) expectations that women will get married and have kids, or at least will want to have kids. Eve doesn’t want to have kids. She’s not even sure she wants to be married!
Known for her engaging storytelling and incisive humour, Eve Darcy delivers a stand-up performance that is both laugh-out-loud funny and thoughtfully resonant. Married Without Children blends personal experience with cultural commentary, offering audiences an hour of comedy that challenges norms while celebrating autonomy, love and adult life on one’s own terms.
