Cormac is currently writing and recording digital 12 inches. One single and 2 b-sides. The first had the single My Harbour (which was playlisted on the RTE radio 1 and reached the top 20 of all Irish songs across all Irish stations in August 24th. The next installment is out Feb 21st, which will have The Little Things as the lead single.
Cormac launched his 6th solo album (Where The World Begins) October 27th 2023. His new album and previous album were both album of the week on RTE Radio 1 and Marty in the Morning on Lyric fm and many many more. He has had over 15 songs on the RTE Recommends list the past few years reaching over 10 million listeners on Irish radio.
Cormac’s intimate vocals, magical melodies and exquisite guitar playing has always attracted very favourable appeal to critics (with Mojo, The Irish Times, HotPress, R2, Americana UK, OndaRock in Italy and many more) always quick to point to his unique style as well as comparisons to acts varying from the dreamy pop of The Go Betweens, Badly Drawn Boy, Elliott Smith and Prefab Sprout to the introspective and more folk-oriented Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen and Paul Simon.
Extra special guest on the night will be Justin Cullen (from Cormac’s favourite band – The Frankenstein Bolts).
Justin Cullen is a songwriter from Wexford and the lead vocalist of the band Frankenstein Bolts . Cullens songwriting blends elements of folk, synth pop and dream pop . Frankenstein Bolts has released two albums an EP and several singles to date and is about to release a collection of home recorded songs titled “ A Heavy Hail Assault”. The band are currently working on a third album due out in 2025.
