CABL take sonic influence from bands such as Portishead, Slow Dive, MBV, Queens of The Stone age and Just Mustard, then coupling this with pop inspired, yet often unconventional song writing leads to a musical experience, which is best described as an indie pop band put through a broken dishwasher. CABL’s music borrows just as much from DIIV as it does from Elliot Smith. Often dealing with themes such as addiction, dysfunctional family situations and mental illness then surrounding these introspective ideas with carefully orchestrated noise, interesting harmony, and infectiously catchy melody.
