Recent years have seen Brigid O’Neill gaining a deserved reputation as one of Ireland’s finest songwriters. Reviews of her critically acclaimed latest releases, have reaffirmed that the gifted artist is one of the most versatile, unique and fearless storytellers on the island. She is currently celebrating the launch of her latest, highly acclaimed album The Truth and Other Stories, recorded in Nashville with grammy-nominated producer Neilson Hubbard (Mary Gauthier, the Orphan Brigade).
Brigid’s music effortlessly weaves elements of folk, country and jazz into relatable tales of happiness, heartbreak and the human condition. Whilst echoes of artists such as Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss and Mary Black come to mind, O’Neill’s voice and sound is very much her own.
