Whelan’s Upstairs • Thur 19th February 2026
Your granny’s secret sauce, Avenue 68, has quickly become a standout act in Ireland’s music scene. Through silky vocals and intricate guitar lines, this infectiously groovy 5-piece crafts a soundscape full of soul and energy.
“Avenue 68 have to be your favourite new band coming out of Ireland” – Beta Da Silva, 2FM
“Each component of the band work in clear harmony, complimented best by their singer’s vocal prowess” – Hot Press Magazine
The band has had an incredible year since their debut last November, grabbing the attention of the likes of Hot Press Magazine and RTÉ 2FM, while earning spots on several Spotify playlists. They have landed major festival bookings too — including Aiken’s Forbidden Fruit and All Together Now festivals, performing on Guinness’ Lovely Days stage, and not one but two sets at Electric Picnic.
Following standout performances at the Cork Jazz Festival and an opening slot for Joy Crookes on the first night of her tour in the Olympia Theatre, it’s clear this band is one to watch. For fans of R&B, jazz, and funk, you’ll want to keep Avenue 68 on your radar.
