AM Camden is a band from Dublin, Ireland that mixes rock with alternative and emotional aspects to create their sound. Influenced by bands such as Bloc Party, Wipers, Slint, Radio Free Alice and Just Mustard, their sound is a blend of sharp post-punk energy, introspective lyricism, and moody, guitar-driven textures that echo the emotional intensity of early 2000s indie rock.
The band consists of Rory Luff, Christian Gribben, Stephen Wong, and Nick Kelly. It was formed in September 2023, just over a year after they left school, with the name a phrasing for the early morning exhaustion and bewilderment experienced on Dublin’s notorious Camden Street.
Their style as a band is writing-focused, aiming to use music as an unrestricted artistic medium for expression, the product of which can be seen in their live shows. The band played their first gig in November 2024 at The Soundhouse and are set to release their first single in the next coming months.
