Whelan’s Upstairs

“One of the most intriguing rockers to emerge from Ireland in this decade,”
– Hot Press Magazine

“One of Ireland’s most exciting new rock performers,” – Eddie Rowley, The Sunday World

“Emerging artist AILSHA has a larger than life personality and charisma that bleeds through her work and sets her apart in a sea of budding talented artists” – Clout Magazine

“AILSHA is a talented artist who will brighten up your day. Her music is as authentic and fun as she is” – Iggy Magazine

Irish princess of misfits AILSHA sings about the things in life we should all laugh rather than cry about. Former makeup artist turned video games composer, the Wicklow native recently made her festival debuts at Indiependence Festival and Electric Picnic and kicked off 2023 with a commended performance at Whelan’s Ones to Watch. She has been voted as one of Ireland’s ‘most ground-breaking female artists’ and ‘most promising artists’ in the Hot Press Magazine Hottie Awards for the second year in a row and was recently included in their ‘A&R Department’ feature.

AILSHA spent her childhood learning to compose and taught herself to produce at an early age. She spent the end of 2022 locked away in her bedroom studio learning how to write and produce the rock style of music she always wanted to create. Her rock debut, ‘Sucker’, landed placements on key Spotify editorial playlists including Misfits 2.0, Fresh Finds Rock and The Locker and was #1 in the Irish iTunes Charts.

She kicks off her Summer Tour in Whelan’s Upstairs with her brand new heavier, punkier set.

Ailsha is the official composer for Big Brother: The Game.
